Private Sound Healing

How it works

A one-hour session of traditional Vedic sound healing uses hand-crafted Himalayan bowls placed on and around the body, producing rich harmonic vibrations. These vibrations interact directly with the nervous system, communicating with the cells in the universal language of vibration. By doing so, the practice encourages parasympathetic (“rest-and-digest”) activity, supporting the body’s natural regulation of stress and promoting overall balance.

Benefits of a session may include:

  • Reduced physiological stress markers and lower cortisol levels

  • Enhanced heart rate variability and nervous system regulation

  • Deep physical, emotional, and energetic relaxation

  • Release of tension, emotional holding, and energetic stagnation

Research into sound therapy and vibrational resonance supports the use of these frequencies for nervous system regulation, stress reduction, and wellbeing. Each session is delivered with intention and care, respecting the traditional Vedic lineage and the natural intelligence of the body.

“I had this unique treatment in Taree this week. The setting a beautifully appointed yoga centre where at atmosphere immediately sets the scene for relaxation, inclusion and serenity. My practitioner for the session Georgia Chandler was truly amazing both highly professional in her preparation, gently encouraging and inviting to totally absorb and enjoy the experience. Not knowing what to expect I was given the chance to ask questions but chose just to immerse myself in sounds with full trust in Georgia.

Allowing myself to just listen not only with ears but with sound vibrations through the body. I could have been in a temple in the Himalayas, moments reminded me of cathedral bells in Rome. Wherever the sound took me I happily travelled. The whole experience was one given in a spirit of genuine love and generosity, sharing a special gift. The results left me emotional in a good way and feel (three days later) somehow lightened in my mind and heart”.

FAQ’s

  • Sound healing is for anyone feeling the call to pause.

Whether you’re moving through a busy season, seeking stillness, reconnecting to yourself, or simply curious, these sessions offer a space to soften, rest, and receive.

There is nothing you need to do or achieve — just arrive as you are.

  • Sound healing is generally gentle and suitable for most people, however there are some situations where extra care is recommended.

If you are pregnant, have a history of seizures, sound sensitivity, or a serious medical or mental health condition, it’s best to consult with your healthcare provider before booking. Those with implanted medical devices (such as pacemakers, or recent medical implants) should also seek medical advice.

If you’re unsure, you’re always welcome to reach out to discuss your individual circumstances prior to your session.

  • If you’re unable to visit the centre, there may still be options. Home sessions or private visits can sometimes be arranged, depending on location and availability.

Please reach out to discuss your situation, we’ll explore what’s possible and find the best way for you to experience a session.

Sound healing is adaptable, and the focus is always on creating a safe, supportive space wherever you are.

  • Sound healing sits between ancient practice and emerging research. Some studies suggest that sound and vibration help shift brainwave activity and support the body’s relaxation response, including calming the nervous system.

However, it is not considered a medically proven treatment.

Each experience is unique to the individual.

  • Handmade bowls compromised of the correct metal structure produce rich harmonic overtones that resonate deeply with the body and energy field. Mass-produced bowls cannot achieve the same depth or effectiveness.

  • Cymatics is the study of how sound visually organises matter. Patterns created in water or sand illustrate how vibrations influence physical and energetic structures. Heading to ‘Science of Sound’ for more information.

  • Each metal corresponds to a chakra and celestial vibration, enhancing resonance and promoting energetic alignment.

  • It combines handcrafted Himalayan bowls with precise frequency guidance, a method taught by one man in Nepal. This creates deep meditation states and profound energetic alignment that ordinary sound therapy cannot replicate.

  • Wear comfortable, soft clothing you can relax in. Please avoid jeans or anything restrictive. Avoid clothing with metal (like buttons or buckles).
